Coleman was raised in the town of Blackpool in Lancashire. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she was able to get straight As in the A-levels she took. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character, she said that she regrets not to have had the typical university experience. Coleman was in high school, was a student of the theatre company In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. Along with receiving a prize for her acting, the production that she performed was well-received. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman won two awards in the year 2007. The award was for The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in categories such as the Best Actress Sexiest Female and Best Dramatic Performance categories. Coleman has been nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will portray Matt Smith's character following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat selected her for the part because she was the most successful with Smith and was able to speak faster than the actor. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the industry for over 30 years and is associated in a variety of TV and film projects. Her work has been much more visible on television than in films. Out of all the characters Eva has appeared in on television shows Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two which are the most notable. This particular show earned Eva two nominations for the 'Daytime Emmy.' She also got to showcase her creativity through music. Eva is an entrepreneur, philanthropist and philanthropist.
